Mille Lacs Opener

My brother-in-law and another good friend headed for Mille Lacs for opener last weekend.  Ice had left the lake only about a week earlier.  They had some decent fish and had a great time.  Friend's son caught the best fish of the weekend - a 25 inch 'eye.  As you can see from the other photo - the ice is still piled high in places.

It's nice to see the kids out fish the old man ain't it ..As of last night the dead sea is is starting to pick up we are seeing a few eye being caught in 20'-24' of water off the rocks and mud flats using leaches and red tail chubs.

Got these two on Mille Lacs last weekend along with a lot of nice fish over 25".
