1. What model?   2. What outboard   3. What speed?

I've got an SV-17 with a 2 stroke 50HP and I'm running max at 39 on good days.

2003 x19, Merc 200EFI, 24 pitch prop, 6" jackplate, 3.5" below pad= 60.3 MPH GPS
Still Working on Set up.   Will take advice...

2000 X21, Merc 225EFI, 26p Tempest, 6" JP, 4" below pad I think= 70.1 by GPS One person, 1/2 tank fuel and all of mine and my son's fishing tackle.

With two adults, tons of tackle and every bin full and full of gas - Mid to upper 30's mph at 5200 rpms

The Xpress is great for river stump jumping  :)when it's too rough for fiberglass

2002 X54(17' 83" beam)) with 100hp Yamaha four stroke and 19 p prop and 6" jack plate 46.4 gps with a full load.
Retired and loving every minute of it!

2005 X17 with 115 Optimax.  With a full tank and a ridiculous amount of tackle will run 54 mph

Still in engine break-in period but:

2008 HD18 Center Console Bay 90 Yamaha TLR full tank and 4 persons w/gear:
Ran 27 mph at less than half throttle (approx 2500 - 3000 rpm)
