Fished both lakes so far this weekend. Friday at Spann and Saturday at Walnut. Figured with the recent weather and rain the fishing would pick up a bit but wasn't really right in that assumption.

Water temps at spann were high 70's on Friday afternoon. Fish seemed to be holding on weedlines/brush. Caught about 6-7 on diffrent baits (jig, worm). No real pattern. No size to brag about.

Temp at walnut was mid 70's in the morning on saturday. Fished from sun up till about 10 and ended up with 3-4 fish off structure. Was pretty tough fishing overall.

made it out to Wehrspann Monday morning...bit breezy...water temps were 75°F-76°F.  Upper end of the lake was kind of a brown color (water was typical clarity) but turned a bit more greenish down by the damsite...

Tried senkos...tried flukes...very, very slow...switched to a C-rigged trick worm and got a couple off the creek channel edges just east of the bridge...couple more over by the dam on a c-rigged tube...

Perhaps 8-9 fish with 4 'at or near' 15"...

Water temps are really dropping and will go even lower this week with the forecast temps...should be 'hard' on a fall bite (like it's not started already  Wink )...
