need an increase in RPM's
« on: February 03, 2009, 06:57:01 PM »

The title says it all. I'm running a 27p Tempest on my 199 w/225 proXS. I'm only hitting about 5700 on the R's. I'd like to get them up about 200-300 more. Any ideas??? That is with 1/4 tank of fuel, two people and full gear load. Ran about 70.5 mph. If I raise the motor up, the handling goes away, (as BassBuff and I found out). Looking for a solution that doesn't require buying a new prop.

I'd be interrested in trying it Papa. Steve and I may be out on Cross this Friday afternoon to give a demo ride, do you think we could try it then?
