We are willing to help you learn what they can do and how they do it, just ask us  any time. If it gets to you asking questions just think of it as your teaching other  how to fish them. You would be surprised at how many will not ask the simplest question thinking they sound dumb.  Wink

As we say the only dumb question on UB is the one not asked!

as for the 5x5 area, you are real just starting out, mine has taken over a whole room in my upstairs, and it's not all in there yet!  Roll Eyes

I picked one up today at the swap meet  for really cheap and cant seem to find anything on them except for replacement power cords.  Would like to eventually find a way to modify it to be kinda like the hummingbirg  portable models.

Well hell, its a warm day (to me anyway ) gonna be a high around 50.  and want to go fishing  I'm guessing if I go today I'll wanna stay shallow ( bank fishing ) and use a tex. rigged worm, craw on a football shaky head,  or a spinner, retrieved slow.  Partly cloudy to sunny thinkin might want to use  alot of pumpkin, watermelon, and chartrues for colors.   Do I sound to far off here?

Sounds about right to me. If you can find some open water, the fish are going to be very sluggish. If you want to Bill Dance fish, your best bet is probably the craw (dark colors, with scent) fished real slow.  If you want to cover a little more water, i'd try a jerkbait, fished very slow. If you want to cover even more water i'd try something loud, or with alot of vibration for a reaction strike, like a small 1/4oz colorado blade spinnerbait or a dark colored rattle trap.
