Treasury Report:See Dave

Youth Report:
Bob Moody presented the Casting Kid competition materials to Eastern Shore for their fishing derby scheduled on May 9th. The materials are available for ALL clubs to use; the rods are to be kept by the DBFN. Clubs may choose to give away competition rod and reel combos at their own expense.

Bob discussed the Owens Station Casting Kids event that went off well as planned.

Cabela’s has renewed their sponsorship agreement with B.A.S.S. as  primary sponsor/contributor to the Casting Kids program.

Future state Casting Kids events are as scheduled: Link’s Marine – Late July, Delmar – Late June, and Diamond State – early to mid July.

Public Relations:

Federation Nation News:
Skeeter has presented its 2009 Federation Nation sponsor package including benefits to BFN members resulting in rebates and discounts for purchasing a Skeeter boat package this year.

Conservation Report:
Bob discussed purchasing materials for improving the water quality in the holding tanks and setting up a permanent mobile platform to accommodate the tanks. Bob presented a receipt to the DBFN for materials purchased prior to the Upper Bay open for the holding tanks equipment.

Tournament Report:
Duane Essick and Jay Porillo won the Link’s Marine Upper Bay open on 4/26. 1st prize including Link’s Marine Bonus Buck totaled over $1100.

The Potomac River open tournament is scheduled for 5/3.

Old Business:
Dave is continuing work on the Federation Nation by-laws, and will distribute copies to the clubs via email.

New Business:
The Berkley program is on line. Use promo code: XXXXXXX (see me for promo code) for discounts at sites such as Berkley-fishing.com, abugarcia.com, fenwickfishing.com, stren.com, and spiderwire.com.

There was discussion on the necessity of purchasing new materials for the weigh-in fish holding tanks. Lew made a motion instead to have Bob W. purchase additives for the holding tanks to help revive the fish prior to release. Duane 2nd the motion, voted and passed all in favor.
