Sorry for the delay in posting this.

For those of you who don’t know, Elite Series Pro, Jeff Kriet invited my dad and I to go small mouth fishing with him on Lake Murray in Oklahoma.

Well to sum it up I don’t think I have ever had as much fun fishing.

We met Mr. Jeff at daylight and fished until about 5:00pm, so he took us out for over 11 hours. Grin

All I can say is he is in a class that is beyond that of anyone I have ever fished with.  Most of the fish we caught were in around 50 feet of water, but they were suspended 10-15 feet deep.  I don’t know about most of you guys, but I would have never caught those fish without him showing me how.

What was most amazing to me was that while we were casting to these fish, he would be watching his graph and when he would see a fish under us he would pick up his drop shot, and watching his bait on his graph he would drop down to the fish.  He could tell almost instantly by the way the fish reacted whether or not the fish was catchable.  A couple of times he would get the fish “fired up and ready to bite” and tell me to drop down there and I would catch it.  Amazing stuff!

I know that most of the Elite Series Pros are normal people and really nice guys, but Jeff Kriet is one of a kind, and I am truly sincere when I say that he is one of the nicest people I have ever known.

I know that I am one of the most blessed kids in the world. Smiley

Congrats on a great trip. Drop shotting is really exciting. I went out on Table Rock and did some of that. It's pretty cool when they coming screamin up from around 40' on the graph and then you feel the little tap-tap on the end of your line. Grin Glad you had fun and yes you are very blessed. I would give anything to fish with one of the pros.

Very happy that you had a great trip Kent, sounds like you and Pat had a much better time on Murray then the help I give on Caddo. Wow did you really say that.

Thats incredible. One of the tournament directors in my club read jeff kriet's article on lake murray and we have been there two years with very little success. It has taken a two day ten fish average of 15 pounds to win. Maybe its because no one was fishing in 50 ft of water...
