I see that Bistineau's draw down has been delayed a week and I read on the Cypress home page that Black Bayou Benton (slot lake) started it's draw down yesterday. However, Cypress Lake will not start draw down until 22 Sept now. I guess the bridge contractors are two weeks behind and need to finish first before they pull the plug.

This fits perfectly into our schedule  Clap Should still be pleanty of water in Cypress come tournament time. The last time I witnessed a draw down on Cypress it took almost a month to get it low.

had a limit that went 11 lbs.

Dang...I figured it would take you 12 or 13 fish to get 11 lbs.  ROFLMAO

I drove down to the spillway yesterday & the bridge looks nowhere near complete & they still had all there equipment down below the dam. I kind of figured they would postpone.

BB looks like  it may be 3-4 inches lower judging by the water marks on the posts on my pier. I meant to mark it this weekend but with so much going on, I forgot all about it!

I'm guessing it is about 4 feet low right now.

The north ramp is not able to be used by larger boats.
Give it another day or two and those of us with larger bass boats won't be launching at the Parks rd launch either. It was only 2.5 ft deep Tuesday and if they are dropping the lake 5-6 inches per day, then it's only 18-20 inches now. And with that shallow hump at the end of the concrete, even if you get your boat to float, I don't see how you will get out, but that's just me.

I just got off the phone with the Park office. Spoke with "Dan" and he said it's going to be tough to launch a boat by sunday. They will be making the decision to close the Parks rd launch as water levels get lower. He said it's close right now.
Also, he said if the launch on Parks rd closes, you will be able to use the launch in the park, if water level permits use, for just the launch fee. However, the park gates don't open until 7:00am.

That is the $1,000 question   Laugh  I know Mike and Russ have been watching it, if we can't launch or if it is called for safety it will be changed; hate to show up Sunday to a locked gate.   ROFLMAO

Well, I guess that I'll say what I think several folks have been thinking...
I think that we should all meet at Sue's or someplace at 5am on Sunday morning, draw a mystery lake out of a hat, eat breakfast and then go fish.
I'm not  Cry about fishing Cypress, just a little worried about safety and having the ramps closed on us.
Just my thoughts.

Just need Buff/Laurie to make the call if they think we need to change; until then we need to plan on cypress.
