Anyone been out there lately? I have a tourny there this weekend and haven't had hardly a chance to get out and get a pattern. I do know water temp is about 89 deg right now. Any help would be appreciated.

Mazonia on the other hand I might be able to help you guys out with as I do fish it often, let me know if you need anything.

I have never fished mazonia and was actually thinking of going out there this weekend.  Which lakes do you recommend and what patterns are working.  I have drove around out there but never fished it, which is sad because I live less the 10 min away.  I cant help you with braidwood, never fished there either.  Any info would be helpfull and thanks in advance.

I live in Gardner, so I'm right around the block from there. Do have to ask though, will you be fishing from a boat or shore, and are you looking for more action or bigger fish?

Hey drake.  There is a tournament on Braidwood this weekend? Whos holding it?  I havent made it out there yet this year but the few reports that I have had from friends is that it is coming around fast.  I have no patterns for you but... good luck.

Mazonia is a good fishery hammy.  I have fished out there quite a bit this summer and there are good fish to be taken if you have the time to spend on the water.

Hey Eric, see your on this site as well. Midwest Sportsman tourney this weekend, sat and sun. Last 2 of the season. Lake has been unpredictable as of late. Water temps around 89-90 on the North side this week. Looks like I'll just wing it, then start prefishing for the Mazonia classic Oct 3rd & 4th. Then no more tourneys this year, just fishin for fun till waterfowl opens. Sometimes, I miss just fishing for fun, know what I mean.

Ahh a team tournament?  I wish it wasnt a two day event cause I would try and get everything together and go tomorrow.  I dont think I would be able to make on it on sunday.  How many boats do you expect?

Drake,
How'd you guys do out there?  I was out there that morning and didn't know you guys had an event until I was in the parking lot.  I caught one a little shy of 18" right after 6:00 am but I caught shorts the rest of the time I was out.  What really surprised me was how guys just camped out on spots.  I'm going to have to look into fishing those in the future.  What's your opinion about how things are run?  By the way, my name is pswitzer on CLF.  Good fishing.

Was a really bad day. I was a nonboater, as well as the assistant director. I am not gonna voice my opinion on how it was run. I will say my opinion didn't matter during the tourney.
