Hello everyone,

I am currently at Gunter Annex here for the SNCO academy. I will be here for the next 7 weeks and I would love to do some bass fishing.  I myself have a TR21X and am an experienced bass fisherman.  I know that I am asking alot from someone since I didn't tow my boat here and none of my gear.  I would be more than willing to pay my share of the way.  If someone can hook me up that would be great.

Folks GEO fished with us for several years and it great company in the boat, careful he might out fish you  Wow did you really say that.

Good to see you made it to the states for a little while..... When do you get home for good? Tell Ronda Laurie and I said howdy.

BTW anyone that takes him up on this..... DO NOT invite him to play poker at your weekly games........ Just fair warning.

hey mike,

How are you my friend?  I hope that fishing and retirement are going well.  I still read the Lousiana board on a regular basis.  I really miss fishing now that I am stationed in Germany.  rhonda and I have about a year and a half left before we head back to the states.  I might get to leave a little early if I pick up Senior this cycle.  I told her you all said hello and she said to tell you the same and says she misses fishing with the club.  She will be flying in for graduation and then we will drive back to my folks house in Va for thanksgiving.  We have acabin reserved on Lake gaston so we can get out and try to catch a few fish.  Take care buddy.

Javelin,

Man you got me all excited just talking about it, but unfortunatly I did not tow my boat down here from VA.  That is why I made a post asking if someone could take me out fishing.  I am currently stationed in Germany and my Triton is stored at my dad's house in VA.  I drove my truck but didn't wan't to tow the boat for 12 hours not knowing how much time I would get to fish.

Hey Geo,

I'm in the same boat as you.  I'm out here on Maxwell for the next 2wks for the JAOPC course and seen there was a fishing tournament on cooters pond this weekend and would love to fish it.  Like you I flew out here and my boat is back at home (Champ 193 Elite), but do you know if Outdoor Rec rents bass boats here?  If so, I would gladly go in with you on the rental.  The only problem we'll have is equipment and I don't have the base safety course if required. I did bring a rod/reel but will need some bass pro ammo.

On a side note, are the base ponds considered private ponds?  I ask because I'm not sure if we need a license to fish'em.

Well crap! disregard, we'd probably need a truck to pull it with.  The things you forget about when trying to plan a fishing trip!  I guess thats why the Air Force is putting me through a planning course right now!

well Mike kind of sucks that no one has offered to take me fishing but i guess that is the way it is sometimes.  I do have a truck but I didn't bring my ball for the back.  Plus I don't have any of my stuff with me.  Please let me know what you find out about the ponds on base.   I might just go to BassPro and buy a new rod and reel and a few key baits for this time of the year.

Hey JB Mike, I didn't know you were out of town.  Bummer you didn't get to fish with us at Margarita and Lopez.

Guess the guys are all getting ready for Clear lake and the FLWSTREN at Pickwick.

Stan and Chris are doing Margarita.

I might get to do Sunday if I'm not moving my son all weekend

Yep,

I'm stuck here until the 30th and turn right around and head up with Chris to Clear Lake the day after.  I would have loved to make those trips to Margi and Lopez but I guess the Air Force has other plans for me.  This is my 4th TDY in the past 3 months and its been pretty rough having all this water around me and not having the boat to fish out of. I just got my Alabama license today and will probably beat the bank on the base ponds this weekend.  Good Luck to ya on Margi if you get to go!!

Guys may want to check the county lake there where you are. In Dale county SE Alabama) they got a lake with a few Jon Boats with trolling motors you can rent for the day and fish the lake there. Pretty good fishing on it and you usally the only person out there too. Check it out, Ed Lisenby Lake.
