kudos for scheduling 3 of the 5 tournaments on the same day  Bang

They also scheduled the 2 day tournament on the same days. And to top it off, the only two BFL events not scheduled for the same day as the BWS events are during two of the Northeast Division Bassmaster Opens.

FLW also moved two events to NY. Looks like the BWS field is going to get a whole lot bigger in 2010!

I am still going to fish the BFL but I think its Bulls Woops

They have a North Carolina, Peidmont, and Shenendoah that all fish NC lakes and many of them the same. WTF!?

So they have 3 divisions that fish basically all same lakes of NC and now I have to drive to NY?

They must not have been getting the participation to warrant keeping both  divisions.  Losing Wal Mart as a sponsor probably hurt the  $$$ to run both also.
Looks like BFL has gone back to the old Red Man ( BFL ) schedule from the early 90's.  This is what it was before they split the Northeast division into a NY and MD division.

Back then We fished Potomac, Cayuga ( Seneca Falls NY) , Havre de Grace,
Thousand Islands ( Clayton, NY ), Hudson River ( Catskill NY ) and Lake Hopatcong (Hopatcong, North Jersey )
Was not a Pro/AM format back then, Everyone was in one pot.

At least 3 of them are down here this year.  Travel to Cayuga and Oneida is gonna be around 5 - 6 hours from Baltimore area.

If You plan on doing the 2 New York ones, there are not a lot of places to Stay around Cayuga, they launch on the far North end of the lake in the State Park at Seneca Falls.  Oneida gets booked fast too.

I can tell You back then a lot would come down from NY/Jersey/VT. , The Potomac and Have de Grace were almost always full 200 boat fields, especially the earlier ones.  Who knows now with the Anglers Choice and other money circuits around, I would still bet a lot will make the trip down.
We used to stay at the Microtel in Seneca Falls, but a lot of the guys would stay at the campground, sleep in the trucks, air mattress in the back...
