Well I guess this post won't mean much after 5-6 inches of rain tonight but
Lake was in great shape today with lots of barely stained water, some close to banks and the launch pretty off color but farther away from launch got better. Still lots of grass, some places pretty bad and others not bad at all. I only managed to catch 5 Bass and a couple of jacks. All Bass came on assorted plastics and 2 jacks on spinnerbait. Shallow.

Thanks for the report PAPA, sounds like you had a good day. Don't guess we will see our lakes stabilize anytime soon. All this rain is really making things a mess.

Maybe a 10lb bass will be tight to the slide or monkey bars

My father in law has a camp on Hosston and he went up there today. He text me tonight to let me know it was open. Launch was open and all. Me and a friend are heading up in the morning.

Take HYW 71 north until you hit HWY 2, this will be a yellow flashing light at the begining of the town of Hosston. Take a left at that light and follow HWY 2 about 3/4 of a mile and you will see the sign for the park on the right, turn right and the first left is the launch ramp.

Obviously you all don't realize how bad the current will be up there! Please be mindful of the folks that have docks on that lake....

Ok Mike I will stay home. I would not want to mess anyones docks up and I'm fairly certain the fishing would not be good anyway.
