Ok Mike I will stay home. I would not want to mess anyones docks up and I'm fairly certain the fishing would not be good anyway.
have you ever been to this lake?

Fishing can be outstanding on this lake but post front like this with blue bird skys I am sure most lakes are going to be very difficult, much less add the current and water conditions of all the rain and it's going to be tough.

Beginner, thank you for respecting the land owners.

Mike, I am new to this whole deal so I certainly don't want to start off on the wrong foot. As for only runing my trolling motor, well it's a brand new boat and I would not be able to keep from cranking up the big motor so it was just best to stay home. It killed me but there will be other weekends. ROFLMAO

Caddo was supposed to crest yesterday. I have'nt had any word if it did or not. It's a good thing caddo will crest so the water will start backing down. I have fished caddo alot after big rains, I don't know about this much, but they do tend to have a way better spinnerbait chatterbait bite in the shallows around submerged peppergrass. I have caught limits doing this and that's hard to come by in shallow water this timw of year.

Well good luck fishin. Happy Fish Cool Fishin' Goin' Fishin' Grin ROFLMAO

Saw on the news last night that Caddo has crested but the drop will be very slow.
The river also crested but like caddo, it will be slow to fall as well. There is a lot of water that needs to down stream and it can only go so fast.
Just think how bad things would be if we didn't have the levee systems in place!  In Shock

Fishing was very tough to say the least. We boated 4. Had to head to the opening of the river channel and found a few in the fork on an isolated tree. Crank and worm. We threes everything sat. Water had dropped at least 2.5' from two weeks ago and all the grass was exposed again. Muddy on the banks. The water level dropping certainly hurt the feeding as well as the post front conditions.
Still beats working anyday.
