Launched out of Rockey Branch and fished up to the end of North Cliffty. Water was clear, I could see bottom clear at 15ft when the wind let up. I was looking for a spinner bait bite in the wind throwing to flooded brush and never found it, ran back up creeks and couldn't find even a dink in the creeks.

Main lake points produced smallmouth on jigs, green with a touch of orange with a zoom speed craw trailer seemed to work the best. Most hits came in deep water while reeling back to the boat, I should have thrown wiggle warts but didn't think of it at the time. When on a bite I get lazy.

Tried several jerk baits along brush lines with no takers.

Spots were on rocky bluffs up close and would take dropping and dead sticked worms, bite was just weight I never felt a spot hit a worm just felt something different and set the hook. Had a good limit of spots over 15in, smallmouth were all short.

Water temp was 60 degrees on main lake and up to 62 in the back of creeks. Ski was bluebird with whitecaps up to about 3pm. Around 5pm lake turned to glass.

I saw 2 other boats all day but was unable to get close enough for information.

The is a singles tourney out of Prairie Creek this Sunday, entry fee has to paid Saturday in Springdale. Info is available at Hook. Line and sinker.

Sort of off topic,, but are you seeing any topwater stripers yet?  We saw a couple swirlers south of Prarie Creek Marina a few days ago.  I guess the water is just cooling off enough.

At dark I did see a shad ball jump out of the water in about 70ft of water, threw a spinnerbait through the area a few times wth no takers. Most of the day was way too rough of water to see any top water. I had white caps even in the coves and creeks most of the day.

Mobile Marine Repair Inc
355 E Highway 264 # C, Bethel Heights, AR

I am fairley sure it is $30 but call ahead to make sure and also to see when he is going to be in the office. I have te worst luck catching him there since he does make repair calls on the lake. I guess that is the "mobil" part of the busniess.
