After much discussion about the possibilities Steve (president) Laurie (VP) and myself (sec.) have decided that it is best to just postpone this months tournament from the first to the eighth versus cancelling it. We also conducted a draw for the lake because the red river will still be unsafe to fish.

We took the 4 lakes that we feel might be open come next weekend and put them in a hat and pulled each of them out in order. Cypress lake came out first, if it is not open we will go to black bayou Benton which was pulled second, if it is closed as well we will go to Black Bayou Hosston. Should all three of those be close we will go to Cross Lake. Cross was held to last as it is our December tournament.

If anyone has any questions please post here or feel free to call Steve.

I ain't too sure about those plans...the way things are going, we should have another 5 inches of rain within the week! The way it is going, if you don't fish the day of or the day after the lake reopens...you are too late, more rain!  ROFLMAO This rain is something else...I ain't ever seen nothing like it this time of year!

Seriously though, plan(s) sound great!

Thanks for posting this Mike!

With the crazy weather we're having I hope we can fish.... somewhere! Roll Eyes I called Cyp/BB and Cross Lake Patrol around noon. Cyp/BB said it would be next week before the lakes came down enough to reopen. Cross said definitely closed today and tomorrow and migh open sometime Sunday. Didn't even bother calling about Hosston because I knew it would be closed.

That is the reason for the postponement, just nowhere to fish I feel like I am hitting my head against a brick wall!! Please pass on the info to everyone!
