Holt Lake Past two weeks

Spots are eating shad like crazy.  Water temps have been in mid to low 60's at the surface.  Water seems down a little at the boat ramps.  We haven't been able to get any plastic bites since the last week of September.  All that works for us lately is shad colored cranks.  Bombers, Normans and Rapala DT 10's.  Others at boat ramp seem to be struggling too.  Some fishermen trolling -- one guy caught a 4-5 lber trolling with a baby bass crank.   All of our spots lately have been small ( 1 to 1 ½ lbs each).  Has anyone else had luck with spinners?  Top water?  What?

Spots only seemed focused on shad and NOTHING else lately!

I have been catching most of my fish on a shaky head, spinnerbait, and crankbait.  I got into a few good schools at the stump flat above Old Lock 15 about a week ago and caught a few on a chartreuse spinnerbait.
