It has been about 4 years since I have been on Sandlin, but I lived 20 min. from it for 14 years and fished it alot.

I would stay on the North side of the lake and fish the back of all the cuts.  From the ramp, go around the point west and in the back left corner you will find an old stock pond with a creek running beside it, work it hard!

Of course this time of year any pocket on the West end should be hot in the backs.

Hope this helps.

Are you talking about West of the Hwy 21 Bridge?  We are launching from Barefoot Bay.

Sorry, thought yall where launching from the park.  From Barefoot, run across like you are going to the park ramp, to the left of that pennisula is a large opening, the stock pond is in the very back Left.  On google you can actually see the ridge of the old dam

Hope this helps, if not, PM me and we'll talk

It is a couples tounament that my wife and I fish. This is the early bird and we really want to get the year off to a good start. I appreciate the confidence and the help that you all give here on ULTIMATE BASS.  I'll try to get some pics up here of the lake and the fish that my wife catches (I know she will beat me again) Cry Cry  All kidding aside I am so glad that my wife and love to fish. It is so great to go out and be together doing something we both love to do. I just hope our efforts will be duplicated by others and we can keep this bass fishing thing going no matter the economy.

Again thanks ultimate bass for all the help.
See ya after this weekend.
