Hey guys, my 4 year old is after me to go catfishing this weekend. Two questions; are they biting yet and any good reports in area lakes?? Thanks for any help.

Russ has been talking about hooking a few good ones once the water started to get high on Cypress fishing below the bridge.

I used to fish right below Lock & Dam 5 off the rocks with shinners and have done well in the past, trouble there is in the summer once it got dark the snakes came out in force.

Took my son this past weekend and fished the south side of the bridge on the NORTH end of Cypress. The water was flowing pretty good under the bridge.
Caught 25 or so nice cats using night crawlers in the main current. The bite seemed to be better in the morning. Around 1pm the bite just shut off.
Good luck.
