Sorry I can't help with conditions.  I was wondering if you know when/if the lake closes.  Is there any part of it shut down for bird season?  I was looking at getting someplace over Thanksgiving Break and Clinton is a whole lot closer for me than Newton.  Thanks for any info.  Paul

the lake is open all year i belive. The east end of the lake closes from mid oct. until april. larrysfishinghole.com has reports on it. and it will tell you the dates and locations.
