Tournament Day
« on: July 27, 2010, 05:46:14 PM »

I am starting this topic because I know that the discussion is going to come up so here is a place to talk about it.

Will we be fishing on both Saturday and Sunday?
Should the Saturday and Sunday events be separate?
How many fish will we be weighing in?
If more than one... how many overs and unders?
I think that in the thread it was already established that because of some of the smaller boats launching was going to be up to the boater.

From what I understand, some boats will have two or more fisherman.  To make it equal for all boats, I think the limit should be 5 fish per boat with 1 over.

A Saturday tournament is fine with me also.

I am good with Sun, But the only problem Might be with Checkout on the rooms.

We can do a big fish pot everyday for whover wants in on it.

We can get you on the fish.  They should be moving shallow if the weather cooperates.  Should be an awsome trip.

Nathan[bigDbasser] knows the lake well and he doesn't mind showing folks around.  he led a parade in June.  lo

Had a T on Fork yesterday, and the lake is turning on.  The fish were shallow and very co-operative.  The Frog bite was awesome before the sun got up over the trees.  I had 3 short fish over 15" and under 16" and 4 slot fish between 18 and 21" between 6am and 8am.  Caught about 40 fish during the tournament.

Hey folks,  I still have a box full of nice trophy's that we had made for the last Rally on lake fork in 2008.  It was spring and none of us fished for or caught anything under the slot, so I still have all the trophy's.   If no one minds that the date is 2008 on them I want to bring them to give out at the weigh in. I would get new plates made for them with the correct year, but the place that built them went out of biz.

I don't think anyone has decided.   Do we know if we are going to do it as a team tourney or solo?

Thats all I do is donate.  I will be happy to catch some unders, but would be thrilled to find a big girl.  At this point not fishing since April, I am just happy to be getting on the water and sharing time with good people.

I will be fishing the tourney by myself unless someone has an empty seat that day.  Can someone please explain what over and unders mean ?
