$89.00 Carrot Stix Why?

I just purchased a e21 CLTX-731MH-F-C Carrot Stix rod. My question is does anyone know why they were reduced from the regular $159.00 price? Bass Pro just says there are on clearance.

They are the last of the production runs. They are coming out with a new model with the micro-eyes, They will retail similar to what the Gold Series were, $189.

The reason its so cheap is because it is being disconinued and theyre coming out with a brand new line but saying that the old rods warranty isnt good any more sooooo.

It is a way to ened the warranty problems that started before Duckett left E21.   :Not the best for their customers, But it saves the company alot of money.  Crappy buisness if you ask me.
