Bass fishing in Maine-Hampden, Bangor
« on: June 14, 2011, 05:44:42 PM »

Hi everyone,

I just found out I may have to work in Maine for 2 weeks in August.  i think I'll be in the area of Hampden, and Bangor?  Anyhow, my time will be very limited.  Probably can only fish from shore and only on Saturday and Sunday.  Anyone know of any lakes near the area I can try for smallies and/or largemouths?  Also, what is the cost for an out of state license?

Thanks, any info is appreciated.

I would try Sebasticook Lake.  Great lake just a few miles south in Newport.  I think an out of state license is like $23 for a 3 day.  You can find out at http://www.maine.gov/ifw/licenses_permits/fishing.htm#nonresident_alien
