Indy Bass Club Tournament Reminder

Where: Sullivan Lake, Sullivan Indiana
When: Saturday August 13th
Check In Time:  6:00am.-6:40am  (All times are Eastern) 
Launch: 7:00AM   Weigh In: 3:00PM

**The water temperature is going to be approximately 85 degrees, please make sure your live wells are in good working order. To reduce fish mortality bring "extra ice" to add to your live well and possibly purchase additives like "Catch and Release" or "Please Release Me" available at Bass Pro Shop or Outdoorsman has a product named Rejuvanade that helps reduce stress and removes chlorine. An 18" fish is 8 years old. One dead fish is one dead fish too many. 

Driving Instructions From Indianapolis:
From I-465 head west on I70 toward Terre Haute, take exit 7 for US-150/US41 south toward Terre Haute/Evansville keep left at the fork and follow the signs for Evansville south 21 miles and turn left at North section St, turn left at E. Frakes St, turn right at N CR-25 E, turn left at East Depot St, right at North Duane St, left at East Leach St, continue on Leach Rd.

There will be up to 20 boats and possibly another tournament, please be on time and prepared as the following schedule should help get the tournament underway on time.

IDNR laws apply. Make sure You and Your Boat are legal including life jackets, throwable, license, live wells, lights, fire extinguisher etc.... If you get a ticket you may also be disqualified from the tournament.

The ramp is a nice 2 lane ramp. To reduce traffic congestion please follow the procedures below.

6:00am Eastern  begin check in line,

Stop at the guard shack and pay Daily Lake fee $12 and $4 Daily Park fee ($16 total cash only)  make a sharp right onto Picnic Rd.

Stop at Indy Bass Check-In location marked by the "IBC Check –In" sign. If you are the first to arrive please stop just before the "Y" in the road so we don't block the intersection. 

Pay Jason entry fee $70 per boat entry fee.

Pay Jason $10 per boat to enter the daily "Tournament Big Bass"
        
Pay Rick Ray $5 per person to enter the "Optional Big Bass Rollover Pot"

Draw launch order

Officer will conduct Live well & drain plug check, tag boat with ribbon.

Follow the "Y" to the left towards the boat ramp 

Launch boat @ ramp and move truck/ trailer back to the  "Boat Trailer Parking" lot. There may be up to 20 courtesy docks available for our use. We should be able to conduct our pre-tournament meeting at the docks and then follow the "Starter" boat out to begin the launch. If the docks are not available we will conduct the meeting on the water.

"Weigh-In" time: Return to the ramp by 3:00pm

Speed Limits:  30mph

Off Limits:   There are "No Off Limits" areas. Be careful in shallow areas.

Size Limit:  14" Limit

If you have fish to weigh in, park your boats in the courtesy docks and leave your fish in the live well until all boats are parked in the courtesy docks.

The "Weigh In" station will be set up at the top of the ramp and weigh in will begin after all officers are in place.  Watch the weigh in line, we would like to see no more than 5 in line at a time to reduce fish mortality.

To prevent fish mortality:

You can dock or trailer your boat.

Officers are to weigh first so they can conduct officer duties during the weigh in.

Place your "fish and water" in the sink then place your bag in the gray container to catch the water.

After the fish have been weighed in, grab your fish and have your photo taken then place the fish in the bag and return them safely to the lake.
