Northwest Fishing report 6/7-6/8
(1/1)
MOFAST:
Hamilton City Lake 6/7/12 Water 78 degrees Sunny with slight breeze. Caught the majority of fish off of brush hogs and a flying squirrel. Brush hogs were fished Carolina style. Shakey head was not productive. Two biggest fish of the day came on crankbaits, but could not get a consistent bite going. Overall fishing was good with over 20 fish boated. Never saw another boat, nice day!
Lawson City Lake 6/8/12 Water 78 degrees Sunny and breezy. Partly because of fighting the wind, the fishing was poor. V-bottom was catching the wind and had to anchor a lot. I could see bass feeding around the brush piles but could not get them to hit jigs, crankbaits, or worms. Fish were very spooky. If I had to do it over I would fish a fluke. Water is extremely clear. Caught some fish, but no dominant pattern.
Mike Cork:
Thanks for the report ~c~ It's always a blast to catch a bunch of fish, even better when you have a peaceful lake to do it on ~c~
Sounds like Lawson owes you one though? Keep at then, keep thinking and you'll figure them out :-* Sounds like you're on the right track with the fluke, keep us posted if you get back out there
Camden:
Lawson is a TOUGH lake. I think my best day there was maybe 5 around 1.5lb a piece lo I have caught bigger there but with no consistency
