Well..Well...Well! What an unbelievable turnout for our re-opening of the 2012 NJ Bass fishing season!!! I terribly wished I could have stayed longer, but judging from the weights and number of fish caught, I believe we set a
new SJHT Record for the number of Limits and Largemouth Bass caught overall.
Real Quick: We had a total of
21 members and 3 Guest on Saturday. There were
48 Total Bass caught giving way to a
total weight of
84.86lbs. This brought the
avg. weight of each Bass up to
1.77lbs. There was a SJHT record of
12 anglers (3 Bass) Limits caught. There were
5 anglers that caught at least
2 Bass and
2 anglers that caught at least
1 Bass.
Fantastic job men and women!!!
Shout out goes out to our
lone Female angler member who was able to catch her
first official keeper Bass of the season in the
Mrs. Janeen Leech (wife of
Bill *The Hammer* Leech)

Second Place was won by the
Defending 2011 SJHT Bass Classic Champion and
Rookie of the Year,
Jackson *Revhi* F. with
3 Bass weighing 6.32lbs. Back in the
lime-light again Jackson Eh? LOL!! To not be denied,
Third place was won by
John *GoneFishin* G. with
3 Bass weighing a total of
6.08lbs. Congrats to you guys for figuring them out and making the most of everything presented.
Good Stuff!!Word on the street is that anglers, caught there bass all
throughout the Day. I can't report how many anglers went passed the Rt. 130 overpass and how many ventured towards Cuthbert Blvd., but the consensus was that that bass were
very active and in the
Chomping mood. I wish I knew what baits were effective vs. what was not, but I'll let the guys and gals add there respective Day on the lake analysis. The upcoming
Cooper River Tournament hosted by
Top Rod Bass Masters should be a good one.
Next up for
SJHT will be our
Club Tournament being held at
Union Lake, Sunday, June 24, 2012 5:30am-12:30pmIn
2 weeks, we'll be holding our
9th Annual SJHT Open Buddy Bass tournament at Union Lake Saturday, June 30, 2012 6am-2pm.... where the
2012 Open Buddy Belts will be up for grabs. Save the date and I look forward to seeing many old and new faces.
Live Action..... Lolly out!!!
