The New Navionics with "Freshest Data" can .   When you Purchase one and Download it you get the Navionics PC app for Free and it is compatible with the Chip.  You waypoints can be shared between the two.

I purchased mine in March 2012. How do I know whether it has the freshest data or not? Could be an old one from years past. Or it could be this years. I just don't know how to tell.  ~b~

-Shawn-:
It should say it on the case it came in.

Wayne P.:
New purchases include updates for a year. You have to do your part to get those updates from the Navionics web site via on-line download.
Some do theirs at least weekly since new data is added by Navionics and customers sometimes every day.
You could have a card that was loaded a year ago so there is no way it would have current data.

Thanks for the info. Went to their website earlier today. Called customer service. They sent me an email explaining how to download their upgrade and viewer. Very pleasant and informative. I will recommend their company to anyone.

I do appreciate all the help you guys have provided on this topic.
