 Korean Bass Black Bass were imported to Korea from Louisiana in June of 1973 into three lakes located around the Korea peninsula. Both the Bass and Bluegill have settled in very well and are well suited to live in Korea. Climate temperatures here reach lows of 20~30 degrees F in the winter up to highs of 100~105 degrees F (similar to some areas of the USA). |

 Bassmaster Elite With the thrill of the 38th Bassmaster Classic still fresh, the 2008 Bassmaster Elite Series season will kick off in earnest with the Sunshine Showdown, March 6-9 on the Harris Chain of Lakes out of Leesburg, Fla.
This will be the first time the Elite Series visits the Harris Chain, the eight lakes that have rebounded since the early 1990s, but it will be the fourth time the BASS pros have fished the chain in the last five years. |

Alton Jones of Texas Captures His First Bassmaster Classic Win |

 Classic Win GREENVILLE, S.C. — Alton Jones jockeyed a slim lead into a jumbo win with 49 pounds, 7 ounces Sunday for his first Bassmaster Classic crown and the top prize of $500,000.
The Bassmaster Elite Series pro from Waco, Texas, went into the final day of the Lake Hartwell competition with only a 1-pound, 3-ounce cushion against his closest challenger. He held on handily for the crown, his first win since he took a 2004 Bassmaster Elite 50 event on the Tennessee River. |

Tucker Receives Posthumous Award for Outstanding Writing Career |

 Tim Tucker GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The journalist Tim Tucker brought the outdoors to readers worldwide, and Sunday his fans got to say “Thank you” one more time.
Tucker, who died in July 2007, was awarded the 2008 BASS Lifetime Achievement Award on Sunday during the final weigh-in of the Bassmaster Classic. The crowd that packed Greenville’s Bi-Lo Arena cheered as Darlene Tucker and her twins, Rachel and Kyle, of Hawthorne, Fla., accepted the award.
