Happy to have you join us here at UltimateBass.com.  I am Blaise Johnston, aka "OHbassaholic".  I have been a member of UltimateBass.com since December 2004.  Born and raised in Columbus, OH and have spent most of my life living in the Central Ohio area except my time in the Army.  I've worked in Nursery and Landscaping, Security/Body Guard, owned my own Asphalt Maintenance business, home improvement retail, long distance telephone, and now in sports retail.  I am currently a Lodge Sales Associate at a Dick's Sporting Goods store in Dublin, OH where I started out in 2003 when it was a Galyans.  I have 2 children, and have been married since 1986 to my lovely wife Sharon.

Days on the Water: 75-100                                                                                                            Years Fishing Experience: I have been a bass tournament angler since 1999 but began fishing as a kid back in the 60's.

I am told that my father took me fishing when I was very young and my first memories of fishing were for catfish on Buckeye Lake.  Later on, my friends and I were hitting local neighborhood ponds until I started driving.  From that point to about 1998 I fished quite infrequently and had more of a passion for target shooting/hunting and being involved with 2nd Amendment activism.

After moving to Dublin, OH in 1998, a neighbor asked if I would like to take our kids fishing at his friends' farm pond.  That was when I started to get hooked on bass fishing.  I joined Columbus Bassmasters and fished the BASS Federation for several years and now we are TBF/FLW affiliated.  I added the Midwest Sportsman circuit in 2005 and qualified for the Classic in 2006.  I will be fishing the B.A.I.T., Bass Anglers Invitational Trail, starting in 2007.

My first sponsor was B&D Custom Lures in Brandenburg, KY where I am currently the Pro-staff Co-coordinator.  You will never find me on the water without spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and flipping jigs custom made by Bill Boyer at B&D.  Over the years I have been associated with some fine privately owned companies covering several fishing related items.  Currently, along with B&D, I am sponsored by FishForFree.com who is a genius in how to acquire and maintain a sponsor base, Save Phace who provide Sport Utility Masks (S.U.M.) for anglers and other outdoor sports enthusiasts, Gambler Lures manufacturing some of the best plastic lures available on the market and the only Florida Rig weights I care to use, and Tamer Products who produce the most innovative lure guard (Lure Tamer) available on the market.
