Hello everyone. My name is Steve Whitehall. I was born in Monmouth Illinois on May 3, 1962. I currently reside in Mattoon Illinois, about an hour east of Decatur. I started fishing around the age of ten and have been ever since. With 35 years of experience, I am always learning something new. My grandfather was the one who taught me how to fish, and I learned to swim in the Mississippi river. I lived in my parents house for about 17 years. When I moved out of my parents house I moved down to Florida where I was the Lighting director for some various groups when I was 19 years old. Two of them are Van Halen, and Def Leopard.

I've fished in Illinois, Indiana, Florida, Minnesota, and Missouri. I have been fishing for 35 years and enjoy every minute of it. Currently I paint cars about a half hour west from where I live. Also on Sundays I go to First General Baptist church in Mattoon. I run the sound for the group of girls and guys that sing there. In my life there are three very important things. God, my family, and fishing. All of which I enjoy. I have a daughter named Alayna, and a wonderful wife named Sara. I enjoy taking them out in the boat and going fishing as a family when we have time.

Currently I fish mostly power plant lakes. My favorite fish to catch is bass, and strippers are a close second. Some day, I hope to live in a part of the world where there are more fish and more lake opportunities. In the winter time I am an avid gamer. I have been mods on many gaming sites. I hope to make the environment here at Ultimate Bass a family friendly one.
