Hello my name is Robert Lariviere.  I’m 34 years and from Burrillville, Rhode Island.  It’s a great honor to be asked to be a part of Ultimate Bass.   I’m married to my wife and my biggest support Kellie since  1994.  We have one daughter who is almost 4, Ashley.  I have worked for the last 7 years for a company embossing holographic images onto paper. Before that I worked as a printer.  Like most folks around the site I have been fishing forever.  My ultimate favorite to fish for is deep water smallmouth.

I joined my first club with my Uncle at the age of 15.  It was a multi-species club.  Bass soon became my favorite to fish for.  At the age of 17 I fished my first open bass tournament with my Uncle and we won, and I have been hooked and obsessed with bass fishing ever since. I have been very successful with many wins and good finishes in tournaments.  I have fished both the BASS Federation as well the old ABA Team Tournament Trail and been in various clubs.  Since 1999 I have been a member of Team RI Bassmasters, by far the best club and group of guys I have ever been around.  Thanks to there support I obtained my greatest achieved to date, the 2003 RI Bass Federation State Champion and becoming the State Team Captain.  With that it has afforded myself with great opportunities and exposure.  We also hold my favorite event of the year our Kid’s Fishing Derby.   We provide all the children with shirts, trophies, prizes, and food and drink.  Nothing in the world makes me happier than seeing a kid fishing with a smile on their face.  I’m currently the club’s secretary , tournament director, and the clubs web site designer, which is how I found this great site.

For 2005 I’ll be fishing my club’s tournaments as well as the Empire Division in the BFL, Northeast Everstart, 1 or 2 Bassmaster Weekend events and various opens.  I have been very fortunate to obtain various sponsors.  My current sponsors include  Triton Boats, Quantum Rods and Reels, Strike King, Suffix Fishing Line, Daichii Hooks, Lake Town Manufacturing and Tournament Force Tackle.  I’m always up for some fishing chat and getting to meet new people.  Feel free to drop me a line anytime.
