Keith Redd (reddman), Editorial Staff MemberWell to start things off, welcome to UltimateBass.com and I'm so happy I located this site.  I just wish I had located it quicker.  I am Keith Redd, aka "Reddman".  I first was sent to this site by Scott Rauber of Fishforfree.com fame and I have been in deep with the site since I came here in August of 2005.  I was born and raised in Halifax County, VA and have spent my entire life living in the area except for my time spent out of town for my first real job.  I have been in law enforcement since 1994 and love my job.  For 33 years old I have a great deal of experience at my age.  I have seen and been involved in too much.  And let me tell you it's not like TV.  I have been married for over 10 years to my high school sweet heart Beth and we have one little diva Logan (7 years old going on 16).  Logan is a crank bait machine, a true power fisherwoman.  But she will not touch the fish.

Home State: Virgina
Home Lake: Buggs Island VA/NC
Days on the Water: easily over 100
Years Fishing Experience: I have been a bass tournament angler for about 3 years or so but began fishing as a kid back in the late 70's.

My first memories of fishing are with my grandfather sitting on the bank of a river floating cut bait for catfish.  We were catching "eater" size cats all day long, when all of a sudden this little mean green fish decided he wanted my cut bait and my cane pole.  I remember going in the water to grab my pole and it was on after that.  After a brief struggle I hand landed my first large mouth bass.  I may have been all of 5 or 6 at the time, but I remember that like it was yesterday.  Like most, I picked up bass fishing hard as a teenager until I figured out girls.  But I never lost my love for bass, and continued to fish.  When I got my first job as a police officer I stopped fishing for a few years.  Then I moved back home in 1996 and have been hard at it sense then.  I fished with buddies all the time in ponds, streams lakes and anywhere that we could wet a line.

My first boat purchase was in 2001, this shinny Triton just looked awesome behind my dodge pickup.  Shortly after that I picked up a tournament here and there.  Until last season when I started fishing team tournaments.  I fished close to 20 tournaments last season and I am officially hooked now.  The up coming 2006 season I will be fishing BFL, ABA, BASS, team tournaments and my club tournaments.  And I can not wait.

Currently I am sponsored by Scott Rauber and Fishforfree.com.  I thank Scott daily for his help and words of wisdom to me.  It is just unreal how he can put such quality information out there for the public and make it understandable.  I true genius with a way for words.  I am also a member of the Field Staff of Secret Weapon Lures.  Im looking so forward to my relationship with Secret Weapon Lures.  I think they have come up with truly awesome spinner bait.  I would also like to thank UlimateBass's own David Scott for sending me to Secret Weapon Lures.
