Grant Collins  Home State: Florida My parents got me into fishing and boating at an early age. As a baby, my father used to take me for rides in the boat to put me to sleep. Little did he know what he was starting. I remember fishing trips with my granddad and going to his house after school to fish for bream and shellcrackers. As I got older, a friend of the family started to teach me the inner-workings of the cantankerous things we call outboards. I got the speed bug at an early age. About 5 years ago I bought my Bullet and got heavy into tournament fishing. Never did very well, just contributed to the pot I guess. I fully restored the boat, and about that time started to lose my interest in the tournament scene. Currently I am involved in outboard drag racing and really enjoying it. I am generally on the water every weekend, although I will admit that most of those times I don’t pick up a rod. There are still a few tournaments each year that I fish locally and do enjoy it. I just enjoy being on the water and being in the great outdoors. Whether it is fishing for bass, or simply putting the pedal to the floor for some runs, as long as I am on the water I am happy.
