The bass are really starting to get hot on frogs in the heavy grass. Try a Bayou Bull Frog in colors of watermelon/red and black/yellow feet. Around the cypress, a Lightning Blade in colors of black/red and Texas Sage have really caught some nice bass over the past week. The Pork Shad in colors of copperhead and most any watermelon color have worked well. To really dead stick your lure on the cypress try a Chopstik in junebug or red shad. I have caught a couple of 7 lb. bass this week on the trees in 3-4 ft. water by pitching a watermelon candy Super High-Tail with a 1/4 oz. weight. Bream are still being caught good but not as many bedded up like before. The lake is at normal levels and and the water temps have been ranging from 80-85 degrees.
