A nice Tennessee stream smallie.
A nice Tennessee stream smallie.
Thursday I was able to fish for a second time with Steve and Sam Finch.  We caught fish from about 7:30 to 4:00 and although it was slow for this time of year we were able to catch a few stream Giants.  Sliders bass grub motor oil with orange tail, Jacks Worms and Tiny Brush hogs along with Stonerollers were a great combination for steady action. Sam did an awesome job flipping to the fish that were holding tight to cover with his brush hog. We took time to let Sam learn the throw net and with another hour of practice he will be a pro at it also. Steve as always thanks for a great trip and the next trip Sam is going to have the big fish of the day. Friday proved to be great in a short afternoon. We did not have the numbers but we had the quality. Matt Davis got his Father out for Father's Day. Here is Matt's Report.

My Dad and I went on a Friday evening creek fishing trip with Mike Dial to do something a little different for fathers day. Well we had an absolute blast with 4 gorgeous smallies that went 16, 17,17, and 18 inches. We also caught 3 smallies, 12-13sh fish. I thought I knew how strong these fish were until I hooked the first fish of the day and he had me running all over the place. We'll be doing it again for sure. It was cool and very pleasant experience throughout the day, even with Mr. no shoulders hangin right there with us at times.
Thanks Mike for a great day out in the water.
-Matt

The streams are in perfect shape for summer fun and a great alternative to busy lakes. Give me a shout if you would like to learn how to fish our Mid TN Streams.
