After taking the week off to get caught up on some more honey do's and to attend the meeting at the TWRA HQ on the gill net issue, I was ready to get back on the water today. The lake was pretty congested with the BFL going out of Bull Creek so you had to pick and choose your spots all day long. (Love week days) I fished with Mr. Jim Bailey and Mr. Dave Morphew from Indianapolis Indiana today.

The Speedway Bass Club in Indianapolis is having a tournament here next week end and the guy's were down pre fishing for that event. We got started out quickly this morning catching 2 nice fish within the first 30-45 minutes. Then as the day progressed it was hunt and peck and fall in line on several areas that we fished. For the day Jim, Dave and I caught and released unharmed 20 Largemouth with the biggest 5 fish weighing in at 12 pounds. Our fish were caught on either soft plastics or a medium running crank bait. The guy's told me when we met this morning that fishing had been tough lately in Indiana and I told them that they should feel right at home on Old Hickory then. But all in all we had a decent day and Jim and Dave were great to fish with.  I'll keep you updated on my trips next week...
