Since those early days of soaking bait for a mixed bag, I've tried many different types of fishing. Of my 100 days on the water, I will spend a good 25-30 days each year fly fishing for trout, 5-10 days on the Chesapeake going for stripers, and another 5 days offshore going for billfish, tuna, and dolphin. My most exciting fishing experience to date was catching my first white marlin last year. I have yet to experience a type of fishing that I didn't enjoy. My life long goal I set a few years ago is to try to catch at least one different species of fish every year on my fly rod. I only have 4 years under my belt with my new goal, but I'm hoping to have many more to come. I've also started tournament fishing for bass recently. What better way to add another element to fishing than making it competitive.
