Hello and welcome to UltimateBass.com!  My name is Miles Hardenstein (member name is hesjustbassin) and I am a forum staff moderator here at Ultimate Bass.  I am 37 years-old, and I live in Groton, Connecticut. I have been married for 11 great years to my wife Christy and have two daughters (Sally and Sydney).  I hold 3 bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. I also have a master’s degree in Engineering Management. My long term educational goal is to hold at least a bachelor’s in every Engineering field. While serving in the US Navy I started my own custom tackle company, and am now currently working for myself.

I started fishing with my father at the age of about 7 in a town called LaGrange, Georgia. We would go to various farm ponds in the area as well as West Point Lake and fish for catfish and bream. As I grew older I started to target bass specifically and never looked back. Due to my Navy experience, I have had the opportunity to fish the entire east coast. My favorite lake thus far is Winnipesaukee (I love those smallies). I have fished many tournaments and due to my travels have become very versatile as a bass angler. My favorite technique is jig fishing.
