Over the course of the three day competition she punched plastics — Wave’s Tiki-Sticks, Tiki-Lizards and Baby Brush Hogs — into thick cover to boat a total of 15 bass weighing 38 pounds, 7 ounces. That weight was enough to defeat second place finisher Sheri Glasgow by more than 7 pounds.
“The stuff I was fishing was very thick. I needed something heavy and tough and small to get through it so I could get my bait down to the fish. I choose a 1 ounce Tru-Tungsten weight,” says the history making angler. |

Well-known Georgia bass angler Pam Martin-Wells used Tru-Tungsten weights to flip and pitch her way to victory in the first Women’s Bassmaster Tour Championship on Alabama’s Lake Mitchell.
