Everyone has their favourite lure colour.
The basic rule is dark or fluorescent lures in dirty water, natural colors and clear lures
in clear water. This app gives you our recommendation on what lure color to use in the
various water and weather conditions. These recommendations can be used for fresh
and saltwater and are not species specific.
HOW TO USE
Simply select the settings corresponding to your fishing environment. The app will give
you our recommendation on a lure color based upon your water and weather choices.
This is not a hard and fast colour selection, experiment with similar colours to what
we suggest, however, we have found over many years of experience that these colour
selections really do work.
Above all, have fun with your fishing and take your kids along!
If you have any issues with the app, please contact us.

Good app for beginners for picking the color of jig to use to help them start catching fish.

I think that this app is a really good starting point for a beginner that struggles with what color to used based on weather conditions, depth of fishing, and water clarity. I think that it is a great app for getting the basics laid down and allows for you to be able to branch out from that initial suggestion.

Over all it's very simple to operate and simple (limited) in the selections it offers per the conditions. With each color is a little description that's helpful. Only glitch I saw was on one lure selections, "Clear", the description is longer than the viewing page and no way to see the rest of the description.

I thought this app was OK for what it in tales too. If you haven't had the experience that some of us had this would be OK. I also thought that it should have had a choice of lures in that color that would work in these situations.

Taking into account all the different variables as to water color and light available this app will give you a color choice that is right along with what I would do, I figure my 40 years of bass fishing experience has taught me a thing or two. That said I think this is a great app for a beginner that still has trouble picking a color that they would be confident in fishing in different scenarios. Bounce the color choice given against the lure that the "Catch a Bass" app choice and you should be on your way to catching fish.

I really don't feel that much time was put into making this app. As many color choices that are available in today's market they could have used a few more. I honestly don't think this app is for anything but skirted baits such as jigs and spinnerbaits.

In looking at this app, it appears to me to be strictly for jig users. The only lure it shows is a jig and it merely changes colors of the jig based on fishing conditions. I guess you could use the color suggestions for other lures, possibly a spinnerbait; but in my opinion, this app is only useful for jig users.
