Bold, in both design and its 7.3:1 high-speed gear ratio that’s available in both right and left hand retrieve, the Okuma Citrix makes an aggressive statement by itself, and even more so when paired with a matching Citrix rod. The bold strength of Citrix’s Alumilite construction frame, A6061-T6 spool and multi-disc drag is tempered by the smooth handling of an eight bearing drive system, micro-click drag adjustment and ergonomic swept-in handle. Need to gear down for brute strength? Citrix is also available for right-handers in a gear ratio of 5.4:1.

I recently had the opportunity to use the Okuma Citrix. My older reel was down with a stuck handle, and i needed a reel to replace it. A good friend let me borrow his brand new Okuma Citrix. Got a chance to use it for 3 days on 3 totally different lakes. First lake I fished was Prineville Reservoir in Central Oregon. Fished deep jigs and carolina rigs. Handled them well and helped me catch a number of smaller smallmouths and one decent 3 pound smallie. Next time i used this reel was in midsummer at Wickiup reservoir, also in central Oregon. used it for crankbait and swimjig fishing. (partner who was there used one for big swimbaits). helped us land a 4lb 12oz and a 4pound 6oz, plus hordes of smaller largemouths. Im sure we would have caught alot more had we had a better pattern. Last time I got to use this jewel, Was a small mudpuddle lake in the Willamette valley called the freeway lakes. Used it for flipping 1/2 oz jigs up into a thick weedline around the shore. helped me land several smaller bass and I lost a true monster. ( my own fault for not nailing that hookset harder) this reel worked great for me each time. One minor backlash, my own fault. Was smooth and honest the whole time, and the fast retrieve speed helped me alot when pulling lure back to me for the next cast. I was so impressed with the Citrix I bought the Okuma Calera its littler brother. As soon as i have the money i am investing in my own Okuma Citrix. Thank you for listening to my rambles.
