These reels have solid performance for the dollar. I own 2 of the reels and have had them for 2 seasons. I would place them more in the 35-40 price range, but not a bad reel at $55. I have experienced a grind after 1 season of use in one of these, but the other is still in pristine condition. When working well, this is in the upper echelon of low priced reels, and you will receive the performance that Shimano is known for. Would have been an excellent rating if 1 of the 2 reels had not developed a serious coffee grind.

I have 2 of these in the boat. Very nice economical reels, both are spooled with 15# Power Pro. For the price, you can't beat the quality, I even had a few of my friends pick one up for drop shotting. As with most of my Shimano reels I haven't really had a problem to complain about.
