Okuma Citrix Rods
Can you remove all evidence of weight in a fishing rod while still delivering its’ power? Fish an Okuma Citrix bass rod and the answer becomes yes. High modulus graphite blanks set the stage for Alps guides with braid-ready Zirconium inserts. EVA foam split rear grips are feather light and comfortable while the Pac Bay Minima reel seat is barely there. Securely mount a matching Okuma Citrix low-profile baitcast reel or Okuma spinning reel with the precision and strength offered by a custom aluminum threaded cap and the rod disappears as the combination’s balance centers squarely in the hand.Citrix Rods Features-

I recently had the opportunity to fish with the Citrix rod - MH 7'
The first thing I noticed is that the rod is very light. I attached a citrix reel to it to complete the combo. Spooled with 14lb test flouro, fished a Texas rig lizard 3/16" wt. Caught 8 - 10 fish with this rod, biggest going around 3lbs. Found the rod to be very light, comfortable, and sensitive. Was pleasantly surprised to find that the rod transmitted the bite (which was subtle)easily to my hand. Direct contact to the rod blank gives you a great feel. The rod has a strong backbone and able to handle swinging a 3lb fish on the boat easily. The only thing I didn't like about the rod was the reel lock screw. I found it loose. I tightened it twice and the second time had to put out to keep it tight but had no further issues with it. I would like to see micro guides on it, for the money the citrix has many features of the higher end rods and would definitely recommend it.
