There was a guy in Florida that was known as Topwater Charlie. His true name was Charles Orm and he was well known throughout Florida and even across the country as only fishing with one style of lure, a Devil's Horse. He carried boxes of them in every size and color made. It didn't matter the time of year, he was throwing a Devil's Horse and nothing else. His size, color and retrieve speed varied because of all kinds of variables such as time of year, time of day, weather, sun, wind, and mood of the fish.

Let me tell you what, he always caught em and caught em good. Topwater Charlie won many a tournament on strictly one type of lure. Pretty crazy!

Somewhere in the back of my old mind I seem to recall hearing of him. Pretty impressive!
