surprise monster

this fish was truly a surprise to me. it was almost dark and i was fishing in a spot where it is pretty shallow maybe 2ft. and there are only sunnies in there during the day....so i decided to give it a whirl to see what came up...my first cast i got one that was about 1.7 lbs.  3 casts later i got this 4lber with had plenty of girth



i was so shocked that i made my little brother take a picture and then i went straight to my fishing buddies house (he lives down the street) to give him the good news... a few years ago they drained this pond took all the fish out did some kind of work let the water back in and then claimed to have put the fish back in...before they drained it a 4lber was no uncommon occurrence but the last 2 years we havent caught anything over 2lbs...until tonight that is.....so i guess im going to have to get on some of the cops and some of the town officials that i know about the missing fish again
