Air temps made it to 66/67 today and checked several spots in the pond(sunny and shaded) water temps were 52-54 at surface. I am glad it's at least low 50s!!

I didn't have any bites today and tried several new baits and also what worked yesterday too.

Treated each area like a pie and would make 3 casts with 3 different lures and then move over a "slice" and repeat.

Won't be long now... Was that an afternoon temp? May still be right at 50 or just below first thing in the morning.

What was the temps when you caught that DD on Cross last year. Wasn't it still pretty cold in the main lake?

Mike it was in the afternoon. Morning air temps are still in the low 30s so may have upper 40s water temps.

Umm for Cross main lake had hit low 60s and the backwaters were 64-68. We were still fairly chilly at nights then too.

Gotcha...

I thought Cross was in the upper forties in the big lake during the daybreak hours but the backwaters were warming... Oh well, getting old is hell on the memory...
