fall fishing on highland reservoir

great fall day.  too good to work.  so I *cough, cough* got sick and headed to the lake in early afternoon.

Hurricane IAN was still trying to make landfall in the Carolinas... and the cloud line could be seen in the eastern skies...


wind was atypically higher than usual and there was a good chop on the water.  opted for a pencil popper to make a bit more of a ruckus.  it's a spot lake, so I tend to gravitate toward chartreuse...it worked...
they'd first blast it but wouldn't take it.  if you didn't snatch it away on the first hit, they'd come back and MAUL it...





decided to sit in and watch CFB today... lots of wind and rain was in the forecast... tomorrow wind lays down but is still steady around 8 mph... should be a slight chop and low light (clouds).  will try again from first light.
