A Ride on the Waccamaw River

Here is a video from you tube of a boat ride From Wacca Wache (Murrells Inlet) to the HWY 31 Bridge near Socastee.  This is the section of the river that we run most of the time.  Just wanted to show you what is out there.  From the boat traffic this video must have been shot on the weekend because you seldom see much traffic during the week.

Nope, that area is fairly busy.  As you see there are a lot of places nearby to fish.  Water depth in that section of the river can run up to 40ft.  Many places you can fish 5 yards from the bank and the depth can still be 20 ft.  But there are still plenty of shallower water places as well where 10 ft is common with spots on the flats of 2ft but those are usually in the oxbow style areas just off the river.  Great spring time places however.
