So far, this month hasn't been too bad. Few rather cold days but all in all, not bad. Could still fish just about every week.

This has been a year of extremes for us, Extreme heat, Extreme Rain, and now Extreme cold, for us anyways. I can't do extremes anymore so my fishing has been pretty much out of the question most of the year. :'(
I'm layering with half of my closet just to take the doggies out for a walk, which they are pretty quick to Ship and Git, if ya know what I mean.

In Missouri, we're waiting for the shoe to drop. It should be highs in the 30's-40's but some days you can still wear shorts. No ice, no snow, no rain. We are in a drought.

Our local weather people always seem so excited when Winter weather is in the forecast. Makes me wanna go down to the local stations and whack'em! ~rant
They never seem too excited about nice weather.
We've had some cold here- it got down to 19 a couple nights ago, but the daytime highs have mostly been in the 50's and 60's with a couple days in the 70's of late.
BUT, the daytime warms have not made up for the freezing nights. While scouting a trap line today I saw a skim of ice on the ponds that were in the timber and not gettin' any sun. Winter is HERE.
We have had the WINDIEST fall I've ever seen. Again today, wind gusts over 40 mph.
But no sub-zero snow storms like Princeton. Yet.
What is this white powdery stuff?..lmao. I live in The Everglades, it doesn't get cold enough here for that stuff.

They're new to the area and don't know cold, 20 isn't cold, 0 is cold! They don't really understand lake effect either, you forecast 6 inches from lake effect you may get 20 or zero, it's really tough to forecast it. They'll learn. lo
