Lake Hickory 1/12/20

68° in the middle of January and it would have been criminal not to go. And there's part about trying my xmas and birthday gifts. (ASTeam rod and Revo Premier reel)

We spent some time looking in the creek beds and found some pretty good fish but they weren't interested in any finese baits. So enough of that and it's crankbait time. 3rd cast and the skunk was off me and the new toy.
It was a small largemouth and that was it for the day, and we found some fish bunching up even the creeks.

The new rig did exactly what I wanted it to do, boat worked perfectly and 2020 and I didn't get skunked.

I was going this morning but it's storming so back to bed.
