Was watching a Bill Dance video on youtube about fishing in the winter and noticed he had circle hooks on it. Does anyone know if there's any added benefit to doing this besides probably making it much more weedless? Im thinking about trying it but will it really affect your hookup ratio that much?

I've never tried it or seen it on a crankbait, but I know inline hooks on topwater lures and jerkbaits has been a subject of discussion here a couple of times.

No sir. Not in my experience... I tried those Mustad "Triple Grips" and lost fish after fish (not the same as a circle but the same idea). I think, and I'm just thinkin', that on a wide/fat body crankbait that you need those points OUT there working for you. On a jerkbait, well that's different. In my opinion.
